Hey, I'm Spencer! I'm a 21 year old artist specializing in 3D and illustrative work, primarily focused around my own original monsters. I've always had a fascination with terrifying creatures, so I like to try and bring them to life any way I can.
I'm currently in my junior year at SCAD (Savannah College of Art & Design) pursuing a degree in Visual Effects! I hope to take this degree and not only further my knowledge of 3D, but work on animated cinematics for games and film as well.
I've been on YouTube for roughly 7 years now, running the channel "BlankFaceStudios" that has now amounted over 17,000 subscribers! I teach people how to use the program "Blender" as well as show off the processes of my own personal projects.

I served as the "Lead Render Artist" on the animated short film, "Inkwashed!", produced by SCAD Animation studios (Right). The film was animated in Maya, but to achieve the style we wanted, it was rendered in Blender. So, it was my job to acclimate a team of dozens of people to a completely new program, as well as design the post production pipeline for the final look of the film. During this process I made several slide decks, detailed guides and video demos all to help my team succeed, and finish the film.
In 2022, I was the leading concept artist for an unreleased short film by director Scott Hipp. For this job, I drew up several designs for the films monster, going from rough sketches, to paintings, and then a full 3D model (Left). And, while the film was never made, it was an incredible experience and taught me a lot about taking direction, feedback, and the overall workflow of the industry.

For many years I've done regular freelance work for "Cryptid Crate", a loot crate company specializing in cryptid and monster themed merchandise sent to customers' door each month. For them I've designed shirts, stickers, and most recently double sided acrylic standees. In these products I've gotten to interpret a fair share of iconic monsters, including the Fresno Night Crawler, the Flatwoods Monster, and even the famous Mothman! (Right)
All of these experiences, in addition to my own personal projects has led me to be well-rounded and knowledgeable in many programs. Here's some of the ones I know best!
